What does "non-profit organisation" mean?
Non profit organisation, briefly NPO, are called only as those if their purpose is also in fact not aimed at the generation of profits. This means that the foremost aim is to engage in charitable purposes, purposes of culture or sports without handling thereby the generation of profit as a priority.
Wherein lies the difference between a commercial and non-profit association?
A private or public commercial martial sports or martial arts association is always oriented towards profit or works purely profit-oriented. These associations finance themselves e.g. mostly by running fee demands from their members for the membership in the association, event participation, issuing certifications, certificated recognitions, education or also for the admission as a school or club in the association. These fees can of course still reach further according to the profit aim and the purpose of the association. A NOP like ours is neither profit-oriented nor pursues this goal. However, of course this must also finance itself by certain incomes e.g. from fees and contributions, events, material sales or sponsors to also guarantee in the economic interest of the members the necessary services and duties. To come straight to the point, revenues and expenses of a NOP are nearly congruent, i.e. the wallet of all members is spared in particular manner. You could also call it almost a service for the community to the cost price.
Aims and duties of our non-profit organisation
Our "Non-Profit Martial Arts Organisation" has on the one hand set itself the aim to give underprivileged single members, training communities, schools and associations, compared to the purely commercial associations (only profit-oriented), a possibility to internationally represent their interests and goals in the martial arts also without commerce, political issue and a lot of money. Furthermore to offer these interested persons and members a possibility independent of costs to participate in social events in the area of the martial sports and the martial arts which in particular in economically difficult times, would mostly not be possible or only in very restricted form. A further duty is to let these schools and associations participate in the success of the organisation collectively and immediately.
Social engagement and responsibility for the future
Are the topmost maxim of our organisation. We represent exclusively the interests and aims of our members in the area of martial sports and martial arts. We exert ourselves for fair and doubtless examinations, graduations and education, as well as for the preservation of the martial arts and the martial sports in their original form. We collectively support with our means and possibilities sports schools and associations to contribute to their success and safe continuation.
